Encouraging Bible Verses

Scripture for the days that ask more — passages on hope, strength, and faith that have carried readers through long seasons of waiting, grief, and difficulty.

The Bible does not pretend that life is easy. It records grief, exile, betrayal, and despair as honestly as it records joy. That is what makes its encouragement so durable — it was written from inside hard things, not in their absence.

The verses on this page have been hand-picked from three themes most often searched for in seasons of difficulty: hope, strength, and faith. Each links to a fuller study with both the World English Bible and King James Version, plus a short note on the passage's original setting.

If you are reading this in the middle of something heavy, you do not need to read every verse. One line, sat with for a moment, is enough.
